4 ways to comply with the Anti-Fraud Law (Veri*Factu)

The new Anti-Fraud Law establishes different forms of compliance. Although by the name by which it is known, compliance is often wrongly associated with Veri*Factu, in reality there are four ways to comply with regulations in terms of invoice reporting:

1 ️ Using the SII (Immediate Information Delivery):

  • If you currently report your invoices to the Tax Agency through the YES, you don't need to make changes.
  • Your company already complies with the law, as the SII guarantees the immediate provision of billing information.

2 ️ If you weren't required to the SII, you can now choose to implement it:

  • Companies that were not required to the SII can now voluntarily adopt it to comply with the law.
  • For this, it is necessary comply with the technical and operational requirements required by the Tax Agency (Integrity, Conservation, Accessibility, Legibility, Traceability and Inalterability of the computer billing system)
  • Integration into the SII involves send billing records within a maximum of 4 business days.

3 ️ If you don't want to do the SII, you can choose to use approved software in Veri*Factu mode:

  • In this case, you must use a approved billing software that meets the requirements of the law.
  • The Veri*Factu system involves send each invoice in real time or as soon as possible to the Tax Agency.
  • This ensures traceability and prevents subsequent manipulation of billing records.

4 ️ Compliance without reporting in NO Veri*Factu mode:

  • If you don't want to send invoices in real time or use the SII, you can choose this option.
  • Using approved software, but without reporting invoices to the Tax Agency. Of course, you must comply with a series of additional requirements, including at least:
Digital signature of invoices to guarantee its authenticity and inalterability.
Secure storage and custody of bills according to the criteria established by the regulations.

Conclusion

Each company can choose the option that best fits their current operations and systems. If you already use the YES, you don't need to do anything else. If you don't use it, you can choose join the SII, or use approved software in Veri*Factu or NO Veri*Factu mode.
