For those who are not yet familiar with it, INVICTIA x INVOWAY is our Plug & Play add-on that streamlines electronic invoicing in SAP with a fully secure integration between the Invoway automated extraction platform and SAP (whether ECC or S/4HANA). Built 100% in ABAP under its own namespace, it automates workflows and integrates invoices directly with FI/MM or with OpenText Vendor Invoice Management for SAP Solutions (VIM), without affecting updates or your ERP's standard objects.
With version 26.2, we have taken a step further to continue refining and expanding the functional capabilities of this flagship product.
Governance and standardization: consolidating the INWY methodology
One of the major milestones of this new version is the establishment of a new technical governance standard. We have released 22 new standardized documents (INWYs), bringing our historical total to 49 documents.
What does this mean for finance and IT support teams?
• Equivalent to SAP Notes: each INWY document acts as an official SAP Note for any version of the Invoway product, formally recording every technical intervention or improvement.
• Full traceability: each INWY provides a detailed description of the issue, the solution applied, the affected objects, and deployment instructions.
• Centralized knowledge: all manuals (technical and functional) are now centralized in our corporate repository (SharePoint) and organized by release. This directly streamlines support, implements performance improvements, and drastically reduces diagnostic times for known issues.
Operational updates: Intelligent automation and total control
Version 26.2 is built on three fundamental pillars that directly impact the day-to-day work of finance teams: Advanced Integration, Intelligent Automation, and Visibility and Control. These are the most notable operational improvements:
1. Intelligent Automation and Determination Rules
• 3WM (3-Way Match) expansion: full support for services with multiple receipts and automatic Goods Receipt validation by invoice line item, preventing inconsistencies during receipt.
• Duplicate Prevention: new concurrency control and intelligent locking for parallel executions.
• Movement 621: native incorporation as "Goods Issue" in reconciliation workflows.
• Header Taxes: a unified indicator that greatly simplifies rapid accounting entries.
• Multi-vendor Standardization: normalization of rules for complex orders to maintain continuous and transparent synchronization.
2. Advanced Integration and Reconciliation
• Order Release: we have optimized the strategy for much smoother purchase order management.
• EXIT Expansion: greater extended control for updating invoice statuses.
• Payment Transmission: the Estimated Payment Date is now sent directly to the Invoway platform, improving financial visibility for vendors.
3. Visibility and Control
• We have optimized the performance of the Invoice Status Sending Program and improved the interface with a centralized preview, paving the way toward native SAP standards.
Roadmap to the future: What awaits us in version 27.1 and beyond?
At Brait, evolution is continuous. We are already working on version 27.1 of Invictia x Invoway, which will bring highly anticipated new features:
• Automatic Classification: intelligent distinction between Credit Notes and Manual Invoices for greater accuracy in reporting and allocations.
• Attachment Management: direct integration of PDF and XML files from the Invoway repository, with a viewer and preview directly in the main SAP monitor.
• Integration Trigger: direct access to triggers and reuse of key programs to accelerate implementation in new projects.
And looking a bit further ahead (v27.1+), our goal is alignment Clean Core, by phasing out custom developments (Z-objects) to fully embrace native SAP standards.
